History

Pinkney Hill, although treated as a single unit, is made up of two separate parcels of land. The land was purchased from two unrelated families in 2011 with funding from NH Fish & Game, the New England Office of Strategic Initiatives, the McIninch Foundation, and the Davis Conservation Foundation. NH Fish & Game holds a conservation easement on the land, which is open for hunting & fishing.

Habitat & Wildlife

There are sensitive species that have been identified on this property. Please watch your step and don't touch anything you don't recognize.

Pinkney Hill is predominantly hemlock-hardwood-pine forest, with small wetlands scattered throughout. A short section of Boat Meadow Brook runs through the northern parcel, and the peak of Pinkney Hill is located on the southern parcel.
Bear-Paw Regional Greenways is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit land trust with a mission to permanently conserve a network of lands that protects our region’s water, wildlife  habitat, forests, and farmland.
