Where: Zoom (Online)When we are out in the field covering the hard skills for monitoring like using a compass and practicing our pacing, it is hard to focus on those softer skills like reading a survey map.
Join us in this NEW portion of Easement Monitor Training designed for monitors of all skill levels in order to share any program updates with you, review monitoring requirements, and answer any of your questions.
We are asking all monitors to attend this new classroom portion, it's the perfect way to kick off the season, hear from other monitors, and share tips and tricks to enhance your monitoring experience. Plus, we cannot wait to see your faces

2025 Boots on the Ground: Field Monitoring Skills
When: Saturday, July 26, 9 AM - 12 PM
Where: Brown’s Woods
108 Mountain Road, Deerfield, NHDive into the heart of conservation with our Easement Monitor Field Training Session, led by Bear-Paw founders Frank Mitchell and Phil Auger. Designed for environmental stewards, this immersive program equips participants with the practical skills and knowledge needed to monitor and protect vital conservation easements.
At the end of this training, you'll be ready to hit the woods monitoring your assigned easement properties, or if you're brand new to our easement monitoring team then you will be paired with one of our experienced monitors to co-monitor a property a property this year.
We will be outside, so please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and comfortable hiking shoes; bring water and snacks if you need them!
