Volunteer Opportunities

  • Conservation Easement Monitor

Become a volunteer monitor and make annual visits to property that Bear-Paw has a conservation easement on. Training is provided to ensure monitors are comfortable and understand their responsibilities. We can match you with small or large easements to fit your capabilities!

  • Event Support

Assistance with outreach across the region at our workshops and events. We need help organizing, setting up, and breaking down. The staff helps guide our Outreach Committee to bring 1-2 monthly events to fruition, and we could use your help!

  • Committee Member

Volunteers with a specific interest or area of expertise are welcome to join any of our committees. This is a monthly commitment to share your passion and expertise with Bear-Paw. All committee meetings are in the early evenings and may be held in person or on Zoom

  • Ambassador

Do you love to take photos or videos? Bear-Paw is always looking for media to promote our beautiful region and the importance of land conservation. Photos may be shared on our website and social media, with all credit to the photographer.

  • Stewardship

Assist with trail building, invasive plant removal, kiosk building, and more at staff-led events on Bear-Paw’s preserves.

  • Leading Walks

Bear-Paw hosts several walks on our conservation properties each year, and we are always looking for enthusiastic leaders. The walks can be exploratory - good friends getting outside together - or they can focus on a specific nature-related topic. If you have relevant experience you would like to share with others in the region, this is an excellent opportunity to do so!

Thank you for your support in protecting our region’s water, wildlife, habitat, forests, and farmland. Our success is because of volunteers like you!
